Bitcoin is like a digital glass of water — trivial in abundance, vital in scarcity. Its “intrinsic value” is really its potential utility when other systems fail nodebrook21@getalby.com
Scarcity Creates Value The desert makes water valuable; Broken monetary systems make sound money valuable. Bitcoin’s core feature — digital scarcity — ensures that its supply can’t be inflated. That scarcity doesn’t depend on any country, bank, or ruler. So even though Bitcoin isn’t “useful” like water or bread, it’s instrumentally vital in contexts where trustless, permissionless value transfer is rare — just like water in a desert.
