in the future humanity will probably going to document events in decentralised time aka (blockheight) Satoshi created Newtonian time with ticks on average every ten minutes to solve the double spent problem. Our Einsteinian time wouldn't allow a proper determination which transaction came first. Thats what the time chain ultimately is. Using block time is a grass root movement!
