Why It’s a Wonderful Life is the greatest Christmas movie of all time!
Like all good Christmas movies, it’s actually about Advent and preparing ourselves for the change that Christ brings to the world. It’s a Wonderful Life is the greatest Christmas movie of all time because it demonstrates the difference Christ makes in issuing His second greatest commandment.
This film demonstrates a world that would be dominated by the love of money over the love of neighbor. Pottersville is a real possibility if good men choose to not act.
If trade and labor are supposed to be charity, money given in exchange is a token of thanks. Monetary exchange is, in essence, a declaration that someone did good toward oneself. In a real sense, it makes the "what" money is into information, yet it requires anchor in reality.

Trade & labor are willing the good of neighbor, but what's that?
It all boils down to Goodness, Truth, and Beauty. Each service we render and good we deliver result in some increase in goodness, truth, and beauty in or for the other. This can become our aim, and we can then better fulfill that purpose to which God has called us as professionals.

Nothing lacking beauty can be called good.
Nothing untrue can be truly beautiful.
Nothing without goodness is true.
Goodness makes a thing more beautiful.
Truth makes a thing better.
Beauty makes a thing more true.
Loving an enemy of this kind means to will his highest good, and that is to do our best to ensure he achieves the beatific vision, and this requires his repentance. This does not mean we preserve his mortal life but use this opportunity to bring about the deepest contrition possible.
For this circumstance, what would elicit contrite repentance more than an impending end of life? Anyone who cowers at the suggestion is not brave. Courage and solemn justice are difficult virtues when a man has unjustly taken the life of an innocent, and I do not envy the responsibility of the agent of the state, but it must be done.
This merits much discussion.

The reason is because people don't know trade and labor are for love of neighbor.
