Jimmy Carr is another one of these smart, creative souls that I love to hear speak but am not always a fan of the particular art their most known for. Judd Apatow, Steve Martin, and Jerry Seinfeld are others. I’m just like the way their minds work, but don’t always like what they produce. I feel like I’m getting way more out of it, to be honest.

Opening line of a current Atlantic article: “Few professionals suffer more from ageism than athletes.” This is one of the major problems I have with liberal intellectuals. Concepts (and words) like ageism. Give me a fucking break. Athletes aren’t discriminated against because of their age, they lose value as they age because they become physically diminished in a job that requires an elite level of physicality. It’s a specialized job and not every gets to do it. Tough shit.

Wrapping gifts. The day before Xmas Eve, the kids and grandkids all come to our house to exchange gifts. We get together again on Christmas night for dinner, but that’s too chaotic for gifts. Everyone got a book (or two) this year, plus a mini coloring book and crayons (regardless of age), all purchased from an indie bookstore owned by writers. I’m serving fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, and biscuits. Basically, a gourmet KFC 2-piece. #Christmas #Books #Reading

Did anyone think they were actually going to release any evidence that made Trump or any of his allies look bad? Give me a break. The good news is, this story will continue to be a story, and will likely take on a life of its own, because now there’s no reason to NOT believe there are mounds of relevant evidence that will never be released.
