@Walla image 13 years after it sank in the depths of the Kinneret and became a symbol of financial loss, the Tiberium exhibit reopened yesterday (Tuesday) in Tiberias. There is no horror like this: we found the dirtiest city in Israel. The Tiberium is an oracular water show that was set up in the Kinneret, facing the northern part of the city's promenade named after Yigal Allon. The project was first opened in October 2010 with an investment of 7 million shekels from the Tourism Ministry. It then became a significant tourist attraction in the city and many tourists from Israel and abroad came to see the show. However, in January 2013, the float on which the exhibit was built sank. This was a blunder that earned a number of mentions in the state comptroller's reports. The comptroller criticized the fact that they did not take into account the changes in the Kinneret's water level, which required the float to be raised and lowered. The Tiberium has become an example of a tourist project and the loss of its tourist value, and a symbol of Tiberias' decline.
@Walla image The weather will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy, with temperatures slightly lower than usual for the season, mainly in the mountains and inland areas. There is a possibility of light drizzle to local rain in the north of the country and along the coastal plain in the morning. Tomorrow, during the day, temperatures will rise again.
@Walla image In recent months, a series of violent incidents and thefts have occurred in Rishon LeZion, making the public space unsafe. Rinat, a 9-year-old boy, told Walla: "They hit him and took his pencil case. Ori, a 14-year-old boy with autism, said: 'A child around his age electrocuted him with a stun gun."
@Walla image The person who is illegally residing in the country tried to obtain an ID card from the Interior Ministry's office in Netivot under false pretenses. The office worker suspected something and called the police, and the story turned into a dangerous chase. The defendant hit one of the officers with his fists, tried to run him over and knocked him to the ground. He eventually fled on foot to one of the neighborhoods in the city of Rahat, and was caught by the police.
