How to Transition to Unschooling You’ve started questioning things — the pressure, the schedules, the testing, the way your child’s natural curiosity seemed to fade somewhere between homework and report cards. And now you’re here, wondering what life could look like without all that. Maybe you’ve already decided to take the leap into unschooling, or maybe you’re still standing on the edge, trying to see what’s on the other side. Either way, you’re ready to reclaim learning — for your child and for yourself. It’s a beautiful step, but also a big one. Because unschooling isn’t just a change in education — it’s a change in mindset. It asks you to slow down, to trust, and to let go of so many of the beliefs that were built into us through our own schooling. The good news? You don’t need to have it all figured out. There’s no perfect system to replace the old one — and that’s kind of the point. What you do need is presence, patience, and a willingness to rediscover what learning really is: living, exploring, trying, failing, and growing together. So let’s take it step by step. Here’s what really helps when you begin your transition to unschooling. READ MY FULL POST WITH 7 STEPS TO TRANSITION TO UNSCHOOLING: image

Just gave a 60-min online workshop — “What It’s Really Like to Unschool” — for the Live Wild, Birth Free community, and it went beautifully. The heart of unschooling isn’t about academics because learning is a natural bi-product of life — it’s about the inner deconditioning every parent must go through to truly free themselves and their kids. To unlearn what was programmed into us in childhood, reinforced through schooling, and upheld by the fiat-minded world around us. Life in freedom and sovereignty begins when we dare to question everything we see, hear, and — most importantly — think, because whether you like it or not, fiat is a part of your mental programming. image
What makes unschooling challenging? Unschooling isn’t hard because you’re not a professional teacher, you lack resources, intelligence or knowledge. It’s hard because of our conditioning. Letting go of control, fear, and the belief that we or our children are “failing” if we don’t do it all The real unschooling journey is internal
