Wow, harvested this amazing garlic. It was planted in May, not the Fall. We've planted garlic in May for the last 3 years and have harvested super big garlic bulbs at the end of summer.

It has been terribly dry here in northern Alberta. The canola fields are starting to flower but are very sparse. Lots of patches that have nothing growing. Certainly isn't a good year for the farmers. 
Helped cook pork loin for supper at the Hythe Legion last night. Here's our crew of volunteers from the Helping the Homeless Restart Society.
