If the US really wants the US dollar to remain at the center of the global financial system, the Ukraine war needs to end, Russian assets need to be returned, and Russian institutions welcomed back onto SWIFT, etc. Or maybe it is too late? How badly does Russia want its money back?
With sound money, productivity gains are shared by everyone in the form of higher purchasing power.
This increase in purchasing power drives "animal spirits" -- ie, hope, increased confidence, investment, spending.
Governmental intervention does the exact opposite. Keynes was wrong.
