#shortcuts don't make sense.
QWERTY layout: Ctrl+W closes tab.
RU layout: same button, now Ctrl+в closes tab.
AZERTY layout: can you guess?

the same button does nothing. Now Ctrl+W closes tab. Labeled "Z" on QWERTY.
This is on #Qt, but I expect #GTK and other toolkits to work the same.
Is there some kind of an algorithm toolkit authors follow, or is it all ad-hoc?
