Reading the Sovereignty Individual and having conversations with my cousin who is american and lives in Japan made me realize a pattern.
I live and work in America so I make my salary in dollars.
Vs my cousin who lives and works in Japan so he makes Yen.
Flip that and you see the pattern. Fiat is by decree of a sovereign.
I earn my money by decree of the United States.
My cousin by decree of Japan.

Lol, all my posts are showing as my very first profile name and pic. Crazy, it must be some relay I haven't used in a long time feeding the network.
I know there isn't much conversation about Fedi on NOSTR but I just ran a test transaction between my cashapp and a random fedi community wallet and it worked even though 1 of the 4 guardians were down.
I like the fact that ecash can be sent even without internet and a federated mint can be made resilient by having guardians run different set ups to ensure uptime.
Now with the new randomized guardian collection mechanism that Fedi implemented you can imagine a switch board like mechanism being used to ensure maximum uptime.
My question is, couldnt we do something similar with NOSTR. Just make it like one giant fedimint community. I mean thats kind of what it is already right?
What are the technical requirements to meet with this framework?
Does anyone know if Primal is available in Mexico? What do you think is the simplest client/ set up to engage and recieve sats (for an older person less technically inclined) ?
I have a dear friend who lives in Cancun. She is a very talented artist that does everything from paintings to clay sculptures. She is active on Instagram but doesn't have the technical ability (or desire) to start a website where she could drive traffic in order to sell her art. She doesn't make any money at all for her art.
I want to set her up on nostr because I feel she'll at least make some money from zaps. For her, even a small amount of sats will go far in her local economy (Sats to Mexican Peso).
My intent is to set my friend up with the simplest client and bitcoin/lightning wallet to engage the social network side of nostr and showcase her art. She is older and would be using the sats she gets from zaps in the local economy. I plan on getting her a debit card that can link to an offramp/exchange.
I'm thinking primal might be best as it's got a really nice interface and has a wallet already built in. As for the debit card, I might set her up with a coinbase card. What do the people of Nostr think? Is there a better set up? Anyone in Mexico who can steer me in the right direction?
