πͺ Europe's cookie nightmare is ending! The EU proposed letting you set cookie preferences once at the browser level instead of clicking those annoying pop-ups on every single website. Seems like a solid improvement!
Set your preferences once, and all websites must respect them. The current system is broken, people just click anything to make pop-ups disappear. Hopefully this results in better cookie preferences.

Big news for messaging: WhatsApp is rolling out support for interoperability, enabling third-party chats across Europe. BirdyChat and Haiket are already supported with WhatsApp. Here's why it matters π

Digital rights means YOU own your data, YOU control your devices, YOU can repair what you buy, and YOU decide who sees your private life. It's about having the same rights in the digital world that we expect in the physical one
For anyone who missed it:
After 6 years, Google's "Privacy Sandbox" is officially done. So after all of that...Chrome remains the ONLY major browser still clinging to third-party cookies.
What this means: Chrome still uses third-party cookies while even Safari blocked them years ago. If you value digital rights, this is yet another reason to switch browsers. Don't wait for Google to protect you, they've made it clear they won't. Use @npub1wngl...qj5n @npub1vl33...38p3
