📅 There's a lot of conference activity in November, and more than a few folks are planning on being at one or more of the events below. Do me a huge favour and (a) tell me if you're thinking of attending and (b) let me know in the replies if there's a Fediverse-specific activity/meetup/anything you know of. Step 1: Do you prefer a service that: 1. primarily supports a specific language 2. is regionally relevant to you (maybe a city or a country), or 3. matches a theme or topic you care about? 4. something else (add your comment below) Which would you click first? (Boosts to non-English and Global South accounts are greatly appreciated.)

If you're pondering why the "vocal minority" is so loud, it might be because it's actually the "vocal group I've never had to listen to or be exposed to before". Thanks to a relatively algorithm-free network, everyone has a decent shot at equal reach and equal volume. And - unlike most alternatives - the Fediverse allows these voices to be heard. In a space striving for decentralisation and equity, that’s not noise, it’s progress.
