I was curious about the word “fiat”. I looked it up.
What it is: A currency that has value because a government declares it has value 🫠
I knew this already, but what I didn’t know was that the word orignates from Latin (shocker) and has the literal meaning of “to become” or “to be made”.
The word fiat explains perfectly what it is: “Let this be money” 😂
Learned something new today.
