Fun loving tech nerd who also loves books, podcasts, movies and TV, my friends, dogs, and most of all,my amazing husband TJ. I work as a program manager at a state agency for the Blind. I am a cohost on the Tech Doctor blog and podcast and that real Blind tech show.
I have my phone set up so that when I hold the action button, it is supposed to immediately start a voice conversation with ChatGPT. Recently, this is broken. It just opens the app and then I have to go to the start voice conversation button.
Oh how amazing is this! Now everyone can just feel free to post in whatever language is comfortable for them, and those of us who have Mona 7 can automatically get the post translated into our language of choice. This is wonderful!
We are supposed to have a live nativity from 3 PM to 8 PM at church tomorrow. I think it’s an insane idea considering that snow is supposed to start falling around 12 or one again. I will be inside helping to provide the music, but still, no one is going to come. The animals will be in a shelter, but I worry about them too.
Copying this directly from an email I received. tl;dr: Describe videos directly from YouTube with ViddyScribe Realtime. viddyscribe_realtime.jpeg ViddyScribe has evolved into a platform that provides audio descriptions for videos at scale to help organizations comply with changing accessibility laws. We’re delighted to have built ViddyScribe at just the right time to meet this moment. But the heart of ViddyScribe has always been the way it began: serving thousands of individuals around the world who use it to help them describe their own videos for personal viewing. Since we started building, there is one feature that has been requested by this community further and beyond any others: Adding videos to ViddyScribe directly from YouTube. And it just happened to be one of the hardest features for us to build, due to certain restrictions placed on third party developers from the world’s largest video platform. But, as we’ve been known to do, we cracked the code. We figured out a way, without breaking any rules, to give you what you’ve been asking for. Now, for the very first time, you can instantly add audio description to Every. YouTube Video. Ever. We decided this feature was important enough to build an entirely new UI around. One that allows you to get your descriptions instantly, without having to wait for processing. We call it Realtime. You can follow the link above to try, but we've made it even easier than that. Simply type “viddyscribe.com/” before any YouTube URL, and watch your video with audio descriptions directly in your browser. That’s it. If you know, you know. This is a game-changer. A world-shatterer. Over 20 billion videos on YouTube, now accessible for everyone. But how do we spread the word to over 35 million people who can benefit from what we've unlocked? Well, that’s where we need your help: Tell your friends. Share your thoughts on AppleVis. Write to your favorite podcaster. Call the United Nations. Send a carrier pigeon to the president. Or if all that sounds a bit much, you can visit this link to drop us an upvote on ProductHunt. Allison, you are the reason we began this mission, so it means the world that we can finally bring you what so many voices like yours have been asking for, long before ViddyScribe was even a thing. Our only ask is that you take it for a spin - and that you tell everybody in the world about it. Thanks for staying with us, and we can't wait to bring you more of what makes ViddyScribe the number one audio description platform for videos, with over 15,000 videos audio described, just this year!
