Sophistry as a Service

Software as a surcharge
I have too many projects.
I wonder if I could contract someone to migrate my WordPress to ClassicPress.
I wonder if I could contract someone to write a javascript that halts the loading of an html page and its other javascripts, presents a popup to gain consent to use webaudio, then allows the other javascripts to resume, to fix my webaudio asmjs apps I no longer have the source for.
Check out this thread and realize that once Microsoft invented software (Recall) that can continuously scan a computer screen and semantically parse everything you're doing with it, it was inevitable that a government would attempt to make this technology mandatory

Once again, they use βwhat about the childrenβ, this time to install state spyware that would continuously scan every action on a phone or tabl...
My opinion is that there should be one big button labeled "opt out" and when you click it it should opt you out. Just in general.
I just encountered the statistic that every year 3 tons of concrete are placed per person on earth and now I'm wondering how much of socialism you could reproduce by instituting a rule that you're not allowed to use concrete unless you can find some person to allocate that much concrete out of their 3 tons/year personal budget. Want to build a 2700-ton skyscraper? Better find 900 people to affirmatively agree they want that skyscraper built
"AI should always be a choice β something people can easily turn off."
Since this is the flat out opposite of Firefox nowβyou have to go into unsupported debug settings and click eight boxes based on folkloreβand there's no acknowledgement that this comment is a complete 180 on Firefox's current policy of enabling AI in secret then trying to trick you into using itβ¦ this statement is not a reassurance to me. It feels dishonest and like a continuation of Firefox's dishonesty about AI, "PPA" etc.
