Data Science Enthusiast You'll mostly find me coding in python, building small data focused web apps. I read fiction and I'd love a conversation centred around Politics and society.
A genuine question. Now, Threads is taking the stage and we see people don't really care about how their data is taken and used as long as they get something back (be it in the form of entertainment, an intellectual space or just a platform to vent). But privacy and decentralisation is really important and necessary as we know that. We saw Mastodon not making any huge impact even thought it tried to solve the problems twitter was creating but Threads just won it all. When are we expecting Nostr to go live as a finished product? When should we expect people to sign up for Nostr? What's the main selling point of Nostr? I'll be honest with my fellow #Nostrichs , I joined threads yesterday and was immediately hooked and then I was like "will nostr ever make such big impact?" I saw Mastodon failing, I feel like Nostr and Bluesky will fail as well and the reason being that these platforms are not normie friendly.
