If I were a billionaire, one of my pet projects would be building high quality TV displays that did not include any smart things built in. The expectation is that a person buying these displays would use their own streaming device of choice for maximum flexibility.

Just a guy, a computer, and an ongoing attempt to work less and live more.
For fun, I enjoy fiddling with my #aquarium, riding my #ebike, tinkering around with #HomeAssistant, playing #Factorio, going to #MetalShows, #Grilling, and reading about spaceships fighting.
We have five cats, which are henceforth referred to as The Goblins.

Do we know of anyone doing POCs for SPACE DATA CENTERS???
Not sure how you solve the latency problem with satellite comms.

How to Use Multiple Temperature Probes with the Apollo Automation TEMP-1 | Michael Harley
Use Dallas indexing to connect multiple temperature probes to a single Apollo Automation TEMP-1 sensor in Home Assistant with ESPHome.
Ok y'all I don't really have anywhere else to nerd out about this but I accidentally dropped my grilling thermometer into a bucket of water.
Today, I'm smoking some ribs because a friend and I are going to watch the Army/Navy game and it's obvious that my thermometer is not working correctly.
Instead of buying another, I have decided to roll my own using Apollo Automation TEMP-1 Temperature Sensor with three food probes connected via dallas indexing and #HomeAssistant.
The goal is to have a dashboard so once I get the smoker temp dialed in, I can monitor stuff from the sofa. Plus, I can setup TTS notifications and such.
I'll report back when I have everything connected.
We used to be able to go to portal.office.com to get to a #M365 landing page. Microsoft seems to have redirected that ChatGPT instead. This fills me with rage.
