Started watching Castle in the Sky (Ghibli movie - the first feature-length, I think?) and I was like huh, this countryside looks familiar, wonder where it's set... So it turns out Hayao Miyazaki visited Wales several times shortly after the 1984-85 miners' strike, and was inspired. Huh! Kids (5 and 7) and I are watching this: It's pretty clever! It means a lot more to me than it does to them, having myself played most of the games the stickmen are playing their way through - but it's still very entertaining for them too. #retroGaming
