We opened Decentralized Dialogues with the long view: Bitcoin will shape the future. To meet that scale, we began not with code, but with conversation. Our first reading was Notes on Dialogue by Stringfellow Barr, starting with how to dialogue. โ€œThe mindโ€™s eye is solitary; the mindโ€™s ear is collective.โ€ We explored what real dialogue means, listening instead of persuading, mining for truth instead of consensus. Like Bitcoin itself, dialogue is decentralized. Some questions we discussed: โ€“ Can Bitcoin restore trust, or remove the need for it? โ€“ What might it teach us about freedom and responsibility? โ€“ Are we listening with the mindโ€™s ear? friday brain thoughts !
