YouTube and TikTok marketing have misappropriated the word 'Podcast' as short hand to mean any chat show format, often with two talking heads, be it audio, video or live. And the critical determinant of a podcast is that it can be "distributed everywhere" and that requires RSS.
Sadly I fear the role of RSS in podcast distribution has been forgotten by the proprietary walled garden platforms which is why YouTube and now TikTok can call a video show, only available on their platform, a podcast.
