Monthly Bitcoin Meetup in Thun, every first Monday of the month. We are meeting at the brainpark Studio where our host Tinu accepts payments for drinks over the Lightning Network.
There are no organized talks or anything similar, just ourselves exchanging experiences and ideas and having great discussions. Open to everybody, no prior knowledge needed. We talk in German or English depending on who's showing up.
If you need Snacks or Food you can bring your own or bring something for the group
We‘re usually around 6 to 7 People, even if the RSVP sais 2 or 3, so don‘t worry and come!

February 2026 is Self Custody Month at BOB Space. This month, we discuss various aspects of Self Custody, with discussions and workshops led by two builders of actual self-custody tools.
On Friday, February 27th, the second meetup of Self Custody Month features a hands-on workshop by Rama (Penlock.io) and Ben (SeedKeys.xyz). You'll learn how to generate a seed phrase by hand, stamp it on metal, and optionally turn it into a 2-of-3 backup using Penlock's cryptographic wheel - enabling offsite recovery and secure inheritance. Join us for what promises to be a fun and empowering session.. Workshop will be conducted in English, with Q&A and open discussion.
Additionally, since it's the last Friday of the month, this meetup will be held in conjunction with the monthly outdoors Lightning Market.

We meet on the first Saturday, and walk somewhere to feel the ground beneath our feet. This time it is a special Sunday walk.
English and Spanish spoken!
Next meeting we'll head from Arucas to El Puertillo.
Those of us in Las Palmas will take bus 210 from Centro de Salud Alcaravaneras (mesa y Lopez) to Arucas at 10:50. Please arrive by 10:40.
We'll meet everyone else at the Arucas bus station. at 11:30am.
The walk is downhill, around 9km.
We end in El Puertillo with the option to swim and eat at Kawamba Burger (pay in Bitcoin).
There are many buses returning to Las Palmas from the other side of the highway.
It doesn't matter if you are an old hand or totally new to bitcoin. We chat about other things too, but we WILL talk about Bitcoin!

**About Brisbane BitDevs**:
A technical discussion for everybody interested in the development of Bitcoin and the technical, economic and philosophical implications of it. You do not need to be a developer to listen in on, or even join the discussion, but having a background in IT, computer systems, software development or cryptography will be useful. BitDevs is about everything related to Bitcoin software, tools, research, protocol upgrades (BIPs), mining and so on.
Submissions for topics are encouraged and can be submitted directly on GitHub. You can expect about a dozen or so topics per month. There will be a chairperson to facilitate the discussion and keep the evening flowing, but most topics will be introduced by the person who raised it. A short round-table discussion will follow each topic with an opportunity for comments and questions.
This month, among other topics, we will discuss convenants.
No topic is too technical or nuanced to be discussed.
We do expect some topics to generate discussion. Opinionated, thoughtful and respectful reasoning is encouraged. Unfortunately, we do not have time to entertain topics related to other blockchains.
