kaloudis just announced @ZEUS no longer requires you run a separate lightning node 🫡 - embedded node on your phone - no channel management necessary - self custody as expected - users will be prompted at first start if they want to connect to an existing remote node or create a new wallet

Bullish! But not sure about the embedded node approach tho... from using Breez/Blixt etc. it puts a lot of load on the phone Would be interesting to see a Breez SDK integration land here as well

I also was concerned about load issues on my 3 years old phone with Breez and went for Phoenix instead. Super good enough for me.

So they went the same route as Phoenix. I think that's the way to go for LN self-custody.

Very interesting. Something like mutiny? I suppose. Are you still relying on an lsp for channel management. Is Zeus the channel management (or voltage)?
