In elementary school, my whole class acted in a theatrical performance. Many of the “cool kids” would purposely mumble through their lines, do the bare minimum, and not get into their roles at all. They did this to seem “cool” and not embarrass themselves. The thing is, from the audience’s perspective, it just comes off as lame. What is actually cool is really getting into character, allowing the lines to flow through you, and bringing the play to life through your total disregard for what others may think of you. This applies to all of life.
