I've noticed the thining out of the bottle on the bottom of Fanta recently. Packets of crisps are more air than crisps. A Mars has shrunk but the price has increased, like a Fredo. And they also sell chocolate bars in packets of 4 to add to the illusion of getting more for less. With bottled water/pop in the UK, most people seem to be fixated on the problem with bottle caps and not noticing the size of the bottles getting smaller.
I don’t know about UK but in the states there’s a legal definition of milk chocolate and it has to due with ratio of cocoa butter to chocolate and since cocoa butter is more expensive now many brands substitute seed oils, highly processed crap. That makes them ineligible for the milk chocolate label. So they are forced to say chocolate candy. That’s how you know which chocolate is full of πŸ’©
Indeed, nowadays daily expenses have risen so much that they are exhausting. However, the Yacht Brunch Cruise I experienced in Dubai last time made me feel that the money was spent very well - several hours of sea cruise, a sumptuous brunch and the skyline view made me completely relaxed.
