Maybe I got you wrong. But KYC wasn't a design decision in the protocol. It's forced upon users from outside.

Yes, I believe you are correct. That was very poor wording on my part lol. I am speaking more to the (I think) inevitability of KYC due to ridiculous regulation, laws, banks, etc.
Agree. Not all, but many will get trapped in the KYC hell and only use state approved bitcoin. But we will still be able to use bitcoin without third parties in a sovereign way💪
