I like the current implementation more.
I would also suggest, if this to be adopted. please make it bottom corners. Top always feels like a reach, even on a monitor.
We are going off @Roberto ās design for desktop here:

You have to look at it cohesively with multiple columns. Iām not sure about having it bottom right in the first column or window bottom right makes sense on desktop.
Definitely on the responsive/narrow/mobile view though
