I've heard some folks with large X followings claim nostr isn't worth their time because adoption is low and not growing fast enough for their liking.
Seems shortsighted to me. I consider investing in social media to be similar to financial investing - it's about time in the market rather than timing the market. Much like how most of Bitcoin's annual gains occur during 10 days of the year, I experienced a similar phenomenon on Twitter.
Choose to be a laggard nostrich to your own detriment.

I'd much rather have 1 meaningful organic interaction/conversation on nostr with another human being over 100 bullshit clout seeking likes/comments from bots and toxic douches fighting for attention.
Quality over quantity.
There is alot of bitcoin OGs strugling to stay relevant with alot of stupid ideas and expiring respect. Specially big brain folks with narrow specialty.
Let's be honest. Many of those folks are on welfare through Twatter and the Google gestapo. If they lose their audience to platforms they can't monetize, well...
Good. Now imagine if nostr was anchored in testnet4.
Who cares what they have to say??
They likely said the same when twitter came out, when the internet came out, when tge computer came out, etc. The ones that only jump onto the train when it's already full and mainstream.
Early adopters are the remnants, the entepreneurs, the ones the push society forward. The masses just follow along.
for sure
Iβm just happy to be here π€
