I used to think “devs not caring about users” was just truly indifference… but after seeing how hard it is to build an app with an empathic approach, aka: viewing the app through the lens of different personas, how that informs how you design features, collecting user data and designing user stories… I definitely have more empathy towards both users *and* devs now. You don’t know what you don’t know. This was never anything I was exposed to at previous jobs, but i’m starting to believe it’s one of the most important things.

Building clients with empathy toward the average person is very difficult. It’s something we have spent 90% of our meetings talking about this year. I wouldn’t attribute it to malice or indifference. You have to spend lots of time talking to users and watching how they use the app. It is very time consuming and not trivial to do, especially with a small team @npub13v47...l3l8 @elsat @npub1h50p...rqev @eric
