people keep ordering base level Uber then acting surprised when something like this happens base level Uber is literally anybody off the street driving any piece of shit you have to get a higher level Uber ride ( those vary by area ) to make sure you get a driver with a decent rating and decent vehicle. then again it would have cost her about $10 more probably in her case, so paying $5 for air conditioning would be cheaper. but i would happily pay the difference not to have to deal with a subhuman or ride in a car with seats soaked in sweat and other bodily fluids ... reminds me of one time back in high school when i went to see a car on a used listing and the rear seats had literal shit stains on them and the Pajeet seller was acting like it's completely normal.

i'm not in Australia - i'm in US the point is that base level Uber is really like an internship for drivers - but most people don't realize this because Uber doesn't explain it - and they don't explain it because if they did nobody would get the base level Uber then they wouldn't be able to recruit new drivers after a few horror experiences like this you will understand why higher service levels like Comfort exist where for about 20% more you get 2X better experience - best upgrade ever ! of course Comfort drivers can still accept regular rides so you can order a regular uber and get a good driver with good car but it is not guaranteed. i never order the base level Uber anymore.
