There are people who like to think themselves superplebs. Just like the pigs in Animal Farm.

Are there any groups of people without elites? That is people who might not have official authority over the group but who have more influence in the group than other individuals? Is such a thing possible once you get to a situation where there are enough people that you can’t really know everyone?
