Nostr kinda sucks. There's no company in charge spending hundreds of millions of venture capital dollars on slick UI's and Superbowl advertising. Nostr rocks because there's no company in charge spending hundreds of millions of venture capital dollars on slick UI's that spy on everything you do while algorithms push the latest fashionable agenda on you. What you get is a bunch of people giving up their free time to develop apps for nostr because they like what nostr can do. They don't have any money for research and development. At best, a bunch of them will meet up at some cafe and discuss ideas over coffee and donuts. The best part is, you can get involved too. Tell them your ideas. They'll listen. They're a bit nerdy, but an alright bunch of people. Think of nostr like driving. First you have to learn to drive. Complicated at first, but you get used to it pretty quickly. Now you have the option to drive many different types of car. You're free to change cars, have more than one car etc. And you have a massive road network that you can explore. You'll get lost. You'll get bored. Your car will break down. You'll discover lots of wonderful people and places along the way. For example, I'll listen to a nostr live music stream while I am sim racing. Was using Spotify before. Now I use nostr. For recipes, zap.cooking is my only goto now. There's literally a ton of other things you can do on nostr other than this chat function that we're using here. But, it's like treasure you have to go and find. image

Cool— having pivoted from a career as a UX DESIGNER and Social Information architect, I get the no money for any projects OTHER than FIAT sh*t 💰 part . As an artist long before that we took a vow of poverty cuz we’ll no one gives a F*ck about art in a world 🌎 dominated by FIAT image
