Ah, the classic “age assurance” system. To be conveniently morphed into a “social credit assurance” system with one or two parameter tweaks when the time is right. The WEF boys have penetrated us again from their mountain lair 👏
That's what happens when you exclusively depend on your centralised ISP infrastructure. I will keep making noise until you all wake up... You can FOS code all day long but how about some hardware infrastructure ? I can't stand coders who pretend to dev freedom tools only to host them on bill gates centralised GitHub or run the code on a dam Bezos centralised azure. Have you coders lost the plot ?
By the way, atproto is a decentralized protocol, but the problem is that most people use a single client, which is centralized (bscy). That's why I like having many clients in Nostr (because it's simpler than atproto). It's true there are some large clients (which I don't like), and I hope they don't get any larger.
Nostr's best defence is that nobody has every heard of it! It's literally 150 times smaller than Bluesky, which is literally 150 times smaller than X. I'll take this kind of boasting seriously when Nostr has an actually serious number of daily active users.
