I’m on page with you, I feel what you’re saying. Let’s not forget though, some will read and still remain poor… and sadly, there are those that DO read, are poor, and could give a fuck less… however that’s possible lol. May I browse your library? (I’m not poor but my interest is piqued) 🫂💯👊

In my opinion, poor is a chosen mindset. Being broke, not always. I've been broke. My parents were poor. It was a mentality that they tried to pass on to me, but I escaped it. Being poor and broke go hand in hand. But not all broke people are poor, by my standard. Some examples I remember my parents saying: That's for rich people We're poor, we'll never afford that Go to college and get a good job Job security You can't do that Stop asking questions and do what you're told (this one is subtle, but it has been shown that children of wealthier parents ask physicians questions when they're sick because they are encouraged to, while poor children are generally encouraged to just be quiet and do what they're told - I've seen this A LOT in healthcare) People like us don't do that Money is the root of all evil I could probably remember others, but this is the sort of shit I heard from my parents and within our family/social circles. I also had friends from wealthier families and saw a totally different reality there. The general theme was that they encouraged their kids to figure out how to do something rather than to just not do it because they weren't those type of people.
