image i have two of the kind at the bottom of this image. i used to have one like the one above it also, 4 high, 10 wide, only enough for alpha and some modifier keys. small tho. the ID75 is definitely durable, and all the switches and keycaps are hand-installable, the switches are hot pluggable. all it needs is a decent sleeve, but it's 100% up for a severe beating. you can't repair broken membrane keyboards but you can just swap out and in whatever standard hot pluggable cherry mx keys you want. i just wish i could get this in cherry low profile, with 6 rows and 18 columns instead of 5x15. bonus points if i can fold it inwards and it has a decent latch on the outer edge, and the bottom was made of CNC aluminium like mine is. doesn't exist. one of those 4x10 "50%" ortholinears tho. if it's typing text, or gaming, one of these will last you nearing a decade. well, keeping in mind you may have to replace all of the switches once or twice in that time. it's a fun hobby, like knitting, or something, assembling these things.
