It depends on the core values of your personality and identity type. For some people, yes, discipline is their freedom. But for others, freedom is their discipline. The two are not the same, but either way they need a desired outcome to aim at, i.e., a vision. Without a vision, there is little reason to focus on a desired outcome that doesn't exist. Without desire there is no meaningful discipline. Discipline without a vision is a prison.
