To maintain our sanity, we really must accept that we will eventually die having learned very little of the truth about our history. Though the mysteries of our history are unfortunately lies or misinterpretations, I've embraced the the mysteries in life surrounding physics, nature, and spirituality. Who is God? I don't know, but it's fascinating! Did aliens visit Earth? I don't know, but it's fascinating! What is our history? I don't know, but I think I know what it ain't; it ain't what they say it is.

The best path has always been acknowledgement of the psyops and literally moving on; the details have zero weight or bearing on your life. The system is engineered to take your attention and waste your limited mental compute.
