2. Unsolicited commercial advertising over lightning
It seems inevitable that lightning addresses will be scraped and compiled and used to send unsolicited messages (with a payment attached).
What are your thoughts about this? How should it be managed? What are the benefits/downsides?

Perhaps the ability to set our own sats price for unsolicited messages (i.e. from anyone not on my approved or following list) would be a start!
How about minimum threshold 21 sats for payment?
Or even better: payments below threshold will arrive, but message will be automatically removed.
Every sats counts. Send me sats all say - I will never get tired of receiving them - with or without messages.
If it has sats attached - it is not spam (for me). ๐
Anyone who does not want to receive sats below a threshold....please forward/send them to me...I will take care of the sats gladly!
To be clear --- all every sat with or without message is welcome!

If a threshold could be set, then anyone can decide the amount of notifications he is comfortable receiving. That could work,
Under a threshold the user can set, hide the message and don't give it a notification. Set a sane value by default and offer the option of revealing the message by tapping on it in transactions list.
Plus/or a Nostr integration where you can allow displaying messages for low sats values only for npubs the user follows.
Rejecting low number sats sounds regarded imo, if implemented should be opt in, not opt out.
Yes, this was what I was thinking as well. And if spammers keep upping the sats, just raise the threshold and enjoy more sats.
Is this what passive income is?
