I'm not a fan of this sort of chicanery. I realise this guy is into fitness but what he has just done is a travesty against menswear.
If you want to work out go to a gym - in gym clothes.
When you are in public and in menswear, act like a man.
He could also get clothes that fit him a bit better too, now that he is in a position of power. The American sackcloth fit is very unapealing and the colors are very drab.
The majority wears gym clothes without ever going to the gym. One guy doing gym things in formal clothes is totally acceptable.
