From a security perspective, whitelisting npubs has inherent risks because you can't predict future behavior. A trusted account today could be compromised tomorrow, or an organization's policies might change.

Eventually we will move to curated content, but we start with some profiles first (because it's easier to build within the proof-of-concept).

There's hardly any completely young child friendly content here.
Even on mostly SFW relays, you will encounter discussions of topics that are too heavy or language that's not for little ears.
I don't think this will ever change much, in general, since while it is possible to achieve this, the technical overhead is so immense and still so fallible that it hardly seems worth the effort.
Basically, don't bring children who aren't mature enough to handle adult things on nostr, not to mention the internet. It's not and never will be a safe place. It cannot, nor should it, be. IMO.

You could try using a few relays that cut out most of the porn as a start, like the Forrest or christpilled.
