here is the issue - people like that are everywhere - my father is one of them - and there is never a shortage of warning signs but when you try to explain it nobody wants to listen.
these sadists always hide behind humor as an excuse and everybody goes along with it. for whatever reason the victim always gets the blame for being clumsy or having no sense of humor or whatever - the sadist never has to answer.
my friend group back in my college days had one such friend and as much as i tried remove him from our group the rest of the guys refused, so i dumped the whole group.
my family also has several such members - both my father and his sister are sadists. even after i explained what my father was to my mother giving HUNDREDS of examples of his behavior she still refused to leave him. i didn't even bother trying to save his sister's side of the family from her. i simply stopped visiting NYC where my family is.
this refusal to take a stand against evil is obvious in politics of course. example: speaker of the house Johnson said we should not release Epstein files "for national security" ... now aside from the fact that he's obviously talking about the security of Israel and not United states - what kind of boomer slime do you have to be to morally accept this even if it was true ?
he's basically saying we should continue to allow people in power to rape our children because to do anything about it would necessitate systemic change and we are conservatives and therefore don't believe in change because we are old and scared and just want to keep the status quo.
ALL people are like this. Evil is right in front of their nose - it is pointed out to them - and they just go "lalala i can't hear you" because they just want to go with the flow even if the flow is down the drain.
