Maybe kick out all the groups that are a net negative to the tax base and remove the suffocating regulations. That'd be a real strong start.

Here's why that take is dumb: The government failing is not the country failing. The government's debt is not the peoples' debt. If the government completely disappeared then inflation would stop, 50%+ of everyone's hard work would not be getting confiscated and wasted.
