Mountain lions are the smallest cats I know of that do try to kill people, so somewhere around that size probably.
Maybe even slightly smaller but yeah that sounds right

A bobcat can fuck you up. They are not that big, maybe twice the size of a house cat. A neighbor of mine was attacked by one. It surprised him knocked him off balance and then shredded his legs. It probably could have killed if it was inclined to do so. He’s an older man but fairly able.
I’m guessing that a cat slightly that is slightly smaller can do that too
The difference is when I say shredded I mean like deep gouges into the meat of his calf muscles. He was hospitalized and was laid up for weeks. The claws of a bobcat are significant, like an inch long. I have a large cat who could do some damage but the wounds would be superficial unless he got my eyes.
Im trying to estimate the smallest size cat needed to kill a man. I understand a bobcat could’ve killed him. But could a cat that is slightly smaller do the same? My guess is yes
