Less money, lesser vehicles ($3k shitboxes get good usage). The guy in the photo with me, Sergii Sumlemny, runs a drone foundation. He thinks about $1,000,000 should be about right to build enough drones to take back a Ukrainian town. Last summer Ukraine released a report estimating that it costs ~$900 in drones to kill or seriously injure a Russian. Now is an especially good time to do it as they're flailing due to lack of Starlink. I don't have enough incoming LN capacity for a $1 million donation... But get it touch and I can make it happen. image

Lightning for frontline logistics makes sense — fast, borderless, and no intermediaries to freeze funds. The real test of censorship-resistant money is whether it works when institutions don't want you to have it. War zones are that test.
