And so Bitcoin loses yet another person who invested nearly a decade learning its intricacies so that they can meaningfully contribute. At this rate we’re not gonna have anyone left who’s qualified working on Bitcoin. Wonder how much people will love it when the chain randomly splits because of poorly-maintained code. At least lightning security was improved 10x in the interim, I suppose.

She divided the ‚community‘ and lost major share of being the reference implementation over some bullshit technical change. Major blow to her employer over nothing. She should have walked it back slowly, and give the community to think about it. But she was pushy and being rude. Typical smug dev attitude. bitcoin will be just fine without any of you core devs. That‘s why it‘s called open source.
Remember the ‚And this Satoshi spake, not in dec but in hex‘ post of her? There is no doubt that she was clearly in favor of this and draw the whole attention (maybe by accident?) on her character. All in all, it was a non issue and she kept pushing unwanted updates down the users throats. I do not want her to be bullied and hacked - that is clearly some insane stuff. But it‘s one of the first rules you get taught in the seminars at chaincode:‘Consider to stay anonymous‘. Real bitcoiners and cypherpunks at least TRY to do this. And we need the core maintainers to be this kind of security psychopaths. I don‘t know shit about Wladimir and others. And that is good for exact above mentioned reasons.
