Not sure how well the math works out, but definitely prefer cutting out the government middleman...although that now puts them in front of the cycle (gov't -> consumer -> insurance company).
I have a novel idea - let's just get rid of taxes while we are at it.
Sucks when you only have two "options"...with enough capture to basically be the same option that keeps us barreling towards financial and societal collapse.
Worth the read - same playbook, different story. And some of the Republicans are uniparty or just self-interested/self-preserving (Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Thom Tillis, and Rand Paul).
I keep thinking we have a brief window to take care of a lot of business and prevent an utter progressive removal of all self-sovereign rights, violation of private property, taxes on unrealized gains, and continued persecution of conservatives/Christians/etc. I also unfortunately live in a blue state - and we really do not want to move because we love Colorado.
