I agree with this - same feelings about being the global police force. Let countries handle their own squabbles. It should not be the burden of the American taxpayer.
If anyone feels strongly enough about any of this - foreign country health or sovereignty - they give privately.
I'm not saying this because I'm heartless. We generally support 2-3 kids through Compassion International, a portion of our tithe goes into supporting global ministries, and then we also support organizations (local to Colorado) that address homelessness, addictions, food security, and recovery from sex trafficking. But we do it because it is the right thing to do...versus coercion.
Most of our future planning around Bitcoin is to save enough to set aside to give to charities in perpetuity. Our kids and grandkids will get an inheritance, but both daughters built families that are already on the right financial path. I'll probably be reaching out to Unchained when we reach that stage of planning...possibly engaging their Sound Advisory group?
