Glad I started really young...of course, I was super conservative as a rural Texas kid who got control of his own income at 12 yrs old (dad died on active duty)...and was investing in laddered CDs.
It wasn't until I got out of college and was reading Money Magazine, Kiplingers...hitting the forums using Prodigy and Compuserve...that I started investing in mutual funds. Also bought that first house at 22 yrs old.
Didn't commit to Bitcoin DCA and rolling some IRA into a Bitcoin IRA until I was 54 years old. ETFs and MSTR preferred stock happened within the last year within my traditional IRA. And I was out of "all things bonds" for the last 3 years, too.
I've known many a person who just collects their paycheck and doesn't invest. Even the ones who have 401ks, do not pay attention to what they are invested in. All will face cruel reality at retirement - basically not being able to retire. I retired early, and I think my retirement would have been in jeopardy if not for Bitcoin (even though I had a portolio and a couple houses)...and the fact that we've always managed to live below our means.
