Fixed my Akai receiver! Now I just need to finish replacing some of the caps (already done the power section caps), replace light bulbs for the dials, and the blown filter board transistors. This blew my mind. What a great track.

I hurt my trusty Akai AA-1030 receiver yesterday. Pretty sure I overdrove the AUX input after a mistake in my voice assistant’s Python code cranked the eSpeak volume way too high. It is all distorted and quiet now. :( It survived almost 50 years all original, and for the past 10 years at least it's been on all day. I will repair it though! It is beautiful.

At this moment, Black Sails 🏴‍☠️ is my fave show of all time. I loved it. The writing, acting, photography, characters, overall story. I really liked all of it. It is a very exciting show, and well paced I think. The last season I struggled with a bit, but it was mainly just because I was feeling some emotions for the character's hard times, and uneasiness of uncertainty. The audio design and mixing was so good in my opinion. Especially during battle and just general ship noises were cool. I watched it in my shed with big speakers pretty loud. It was very nice. I thought Pirates and a pirate show would be boring. I thought I hated sunny, sandy, wet, ocean, captain, treasure stuff. I felt similar about the sopranos when I first watched that. I went in thinking I didnt care for New Jersey Mafia crap and came out with that show being another favorite. Sopranos has a great soundtrack too which helped a lot. I haven't seen deadwood in years, but I felt similar about that show as well. And more recently, I watched Arcane which blew me away, I just didnt love the second season as much, but still it ends up in my top tier shows I'd say.
