I never even knew this song existed until half an hour ago. It's crazy politically incorrect by today's standards, but the interwebs claims it was a kind of protest song in its time.
This would make a nice greeting card. image
100-deck pre-order goal has been reached! DISABLING IMPAIRMENTS Playing Cards will have an initial print run of 1,000. You can keep pre-ordering until March, then they'll just be regular (in stock) orders. Thanks pre-orderers!
Could be worse, and is south of us. We're just getting the northern edge of the storm.
PaleGray Labs has finally, FINALLY been sold! Our machines are moving to San Diego CA for a new project called Stitch Lab. Adios to over a ton of steel and a lot of fibers. I'm grateful we made so much cool stuff with Behemoth the quilt plotter, Hank the long-arm walking-foot sailmaking machine, and whatever the heck we named our 10-needle embroidery machine. I'm delighted they will continue to be used by their new owner for years to come.
95 decks of DISABLING IMPAIRMENTS cards pre-ordered. Just 5 decks to go to meet my goal of 100, for print run of 1,000. Who will put it over the edge??? image
My first speed loom patch, on a pair of merino wool leggings with a HUGE hole in the knee and run down the leg. I figured this item was destined to become rags, with a hole probably too big to patch, which is why I chose it for my first experiment. Not bad actually! The run is still there but I could probably get another year of wear out of this thing. The 50% wool/50% acrylic floss/yarn I chose is very fray-y and shed-y, and comes unwound easily. I can see it shedding and frizzing off, but if it felts that's good, will make a stronger patch. If I were serious about patching I'd use black to match the fabric, but I wanted to see my work. Next time I'll stick with a square shape like you're supposed to.
Frost inside window this morning. Dipped below 0°F overnight.
