The new FediDB has been redesigned and refactored to leverage the 394 million data points we've collected and aggregated.
Imagine being able to easily find a server with open registration that is mature (3+ years old) and located in your region, with just a few clicks!

I'm thrilled to announce that I'm nearly finished rewriting FediDB's frontend, and will be publishing the source code finally as we migrate away from the current paid theme which prevented that.
I look forward to working with the community to steward this resource!

I don't think Bluesky, Pixelfed or Lemmy would exist without Mastodon. Their project gave us a blueprint for what's possible.

Wouldn't it be cool if you could make a Custom Filter on Pixelfed with dozens of keywords, and mark it as public and sharable.
Send the link to your friends and with one tap, they can import it.
By default, Filters will remain private, but I think this could work well.
It would be an ActivityPub collection, and consumable by remote/non-pixelfed servers ✨
